I definitely appreciated the drivers/delivery men for calling me whilst they were on their way, I was able to advise them on which entry gate was best to come through because of that. There was no complications with the delivery, everything from the purchase to the delivery went smoothly. I wish I could remember the exact saleswoman that I spoke with in the showroom, (black woman who's name started with a "L") but she was very efficient and I appreciate that as well. The delivery guys were professional. Very great quality furniture. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Millie is very personable genuinely nice, and she has bared with us 3 visits and made sure it was worth her time on the 3rd visit getting exactly what we wanted and it felt more than a sale. We felt like a personal connection. She is an amazing person, beautiful inside and out and deserves the respect working with her is the most pleasant experience l've ever had at a furniture place!

The only American thing about this place is the name. Our visit revealed what we'd suspected ... a bunch of mass-produced Asian furniture (much of it showing Vietnam as its origin), made with inexpensive components, generally shipped unassembled in boxes. Fit and finish are terrible (wobbly drawers, uneven paint, crooked seams, etc.). Employees essentially ignore customers unless approached ... and the one we spoke with had no clue as to the meaning of hardwood (we did inquire if any such bedroom sets were available). When asked, he knocked on a headboard and stated, "This wood is very hard." We understand that price is a major draw, but many complaints posted here and elsewhere refer to pieces lasting a short time before starting to fall apart. Simply put, there's a big difference between price and value. Cheap furniture isn't good, and good furniture isn't cheap. Then there's review after review about delivery, or lack thereof. It stands to reason, as much of the furniture has to travel over half the world, and if anything, the supply chain is in critical shape and not getting much better. Add the time necessary to assemble the pieces ... Ikea is a cakewalk compared with this stuff. So a promised delivery date for items made thousands of miles across the Pacific is a crapshoot at best. If you're looking for furniture to get by with for a while, this could be your place ... but if quality matters, you'll need to open your wallet a bit wider.

Mi experiencia en esta tienda fue horrible realicé mi pedido lo cual me llegaría en un mes después se contactaron conmigo que demoraría un mes más ya para eso serían dos meses luego el Vendedor se contactó conmigo para informarme que ya llegaría mi pedido en esa semana y tampoco llegó entonces vine a cancelar mi pedido para que me puedan hacer el reembolso de mi dinero el cual me dijeron que demoraría entre tres días a siete días ya han pasado más de 15 días y no llega el reembolso

We were not given a date for when the orders will be delivered so I contacted Jt (katy location) and he was so diligent and replies to all of my texts. He gives an assurance that he will do something with regards to our problem and voila! Our orders were delivered as soon as possible because of him. Thank you Jt for a job well done!

If you want a couch that breaks within 4 months of purchase, this is your place! Horrible couches. They stick a 2x4 and some carpet draped over and call it a couch. They came out and “fixed” it but when returned to us it still wasn’t fixed and they have refused to replace it. I will NEVER buy from them again. So many other furniture stores to return to. The 1 year warranty here does NOTHING for you. $1800 down the drain. Thank you for a waste of time and money American Furniture Warehouse.

The overall purchase process with Roberto was easy and smooth, however, the delivery process is a complete joke. They title the service as "Platinum Delivery Service" but expect you to sit at home for 4 hours and wait for them to randomly call you to deliver your furniture. My initial delivery date was for Wednesday, January 22nd but I got a call saying they cancelled my delivery due to the weather so I rescheduled it for today, Friday Jan 24th. I then got an email yesterday stating my delivery would be between 9am-4pm (a four hour window with whatever time they decide is convenient for them) for today. They called me at 9:30am but for some reason, their calls weren't coming through to my phone (they were coming from Colorado) and another random set of calls 7 times in a row that went straight to voicemail because they were showing up as nuance calls. Shortly after, I called the random number back and it was the delivery guy who told me they were advised to move on. I then tried calling this location to which you can't speak to anyone in customer service (option 2 for delivery information). It just loops you back to the welcome to AFW message. I finally called the 800 number which the rude lady told me I needed to pay a $45 cancellation fee and a $89 reschedule fee on top of the $79 delivery fee from my original purchase amount. Huh?? $213 in delivery fees?? Her response was "well you signed for it." I can literally rent a UHaul truck, pick it up, and build it for less than $213. I asked to speak to a manager and the lady was so eager to transfer me to one thinking they would give the same answer. In fact, even though I waited 22 minutes to speak to a manager, the manager I spoke to was extremely nice and took care of the fees without hesitation. None of this should have gotten this far and I recommend shortening the delivery window to 2 hours like you guys do for AZ. There's folks out there that have to take time off work to sit around waiting for 4 hours to get a phone call for delivery.

A rude and unacceptable encounter with a manager by the name of Dave. I have purchased several pieces of furniture at this location and have never had an issue until today. We were scheduled to pick up two dressers today after receiving a notification at 12:15pm for bay 6. I arrived at 12:19pm. When 30 minutes had passed with no furniture to pick up, I inquired why I had received a notification that it was ready for pickup when it wasn’t, the manager by the name of Dave was extremely rude and aggressive and refused to provide a last name, a supervisors name or provide the phone number to speak to someone else. He condescendingly said he could just cancel the order “no problem for him.” We have spent thousands of dollars at this location in the last 7 months and today was the last time we will ever shop there. Completely unacceptable behavior, no respect for customers or their time. All of this over simply inquiring why a notification had been sent out when the order was not ready.

I definitely recommend AFW and suggest asking for JT for an excellent experience. The furniture was delivered as scheduled both times and set was quick and very well done. A Completely Unacceptable and Outrageous Experience Two days ago, I purchased a sofa from this store, including the delivery service scheduled for Friday, January 17th, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Trusting their commitment, I took the day off work, which resulted in a significant financial loss for me. However, the experience was an absolute disaster from start to finish due to their lack of professionalism and respect for their customers. Issues with Delivery 1. Poor communication: The driver only made two brief calls that weren’t enough to establish contact. Shortly after, I received a false notification claiming they had been at my door. To make matters worse, they attached a photo of the front of my house as “proof” of delivery, even though they never knocked on my door or made a real effort to deliver the order. 2. Blocked communication: When I tried to contact the driver again to clarify the situation, I discovered that my phone number had been blocked. This is completely unacceptable and shows a blatant disregard for fulfilling their responsibilities. Terrible Customer Service When I visited the store to speak with a manager, they scheduled a new delivery for this morning. However, the same irresponsible behavior happened again: the driver blocked my phone number, and I lost yet another day of work, bringing my total financial loss to $800. Despite my frustration and requests for a solution, I was informed that I would need to pay for delivery again, even though their staff was entirely at fault. Personal Impact This situation has not only caused me significant financial loss but also affected my emotional well-being. The level of anxiety and frustration this experience has caused is indescribable. The lack of empathy, professionalism, and commitment from this store is an insult to their customers’ time and money. Conclusion I do not recommend this store under any circumstances. Their customer service is horrible, their staff is negligent, and their lack of professionalism shows they have no interest in meeting their customers’ needs. To the owners of this business, I urge you to hire trained and dedicated staff who can properly represent the values of a reputable company. As of now, I am forced to pick up the sofa myself, losing the money I paid for delivery on top of everything else. To the entire community, avoid this store if you don’t want to experience the same level of indignation.

Giving a 3 star review because I have had 1 5 star experience and 1 one star experience. Bought an office set last summer which was great, ordered and picked up the next day. Everything went great. Went back a couple of weeks ago and got 2 new bed room sets. This order has been a disaster. Salesman never included one of the beds in the order, never showed us an itemized list until we got the receipt. Didn't know he didn't include the bed until it was to be delivered, then we found out through customer service that we couldn't get the bed for another month. Then for a chest for my other kids room, hardware was missing to complete the assembly. We were told for 3 different issues, customer service would call us back, they never did. Went to the store, manager arranged a swap out for a new chest, only for the new one to also not have hardware as well. Thankfully I live close to just go pickup the hardware myself, but what a cluster.

First furniture place I didn't feel ripped off at. They are not kidding when they claim "no/low press pressure sales tactics", our salesperson walked with us for over an hour. There seems to be something for everyone and have especially thrifty deals on items that are near discontinuation/are in the clearance section, but none of them are low quality items.

I had 4 chairs and a beautiful rug delivered last month and included photos to reference. I love the chairs and rug, but upon further inspection I noticed that two of the chairs have a cut on them from the delivery men cutting the plastic that the chairs were wrapped in with sharp box cutters. Therefore, I am leaving a 4 star review as the chairs are not in perfect condition.

I purchased a sofa for my new unit on line Navy Federal bank btw received confirmation of purchase to only be advised they cancelled order due to card decline so once I received the email later I contacted bank to only be advised it was declined which I knew the funds were there but they kicked it back to only have to wait now on my money for additional 6day to return.Bottom line there was no real communication to why .it was very disappointing So lack of communication is why I can’t support or shop at this furniture store.I paid more at a more prestigious store Star ⭐️ furniture and had no issues and made me feel like they wanted my business.

I gave one star because of the seller, they have bad service to the customer. You ask to talk to a manager and they don’t provide service for you so you can solve your problem. The one that makes the delivery has a very bad attitude when he calls you. He lies when he makes a report, he says he calls you a bunch of times but he doesn’t, I explain ed to him that there was an error they never called me and they were calling another number which I told the seller to remove and the delivery even like that doesn’t accept leaving me my purchases. I’m looking for a way to contact the general manager so the owner knows the treatment the clients are receiving from customer service, especially, from someone named rosi that possibly dint even give me her real name because I said I was going to report her. The products say that they’ve been inspected and even then the products come damaged by the manufacturer, they’re doing a very bad job I tell them that if they don’t help me solve my problem I am going to return my purchase of almost 4,000 dollars, and they say they don’t care. Great place to buy furniture, especially if you’re on a budget. Their prices really do beat Amazon and wayfair, and so does their quality. This place has the best deals, period. You can buy in store or online. They also deliver. I had my couch delivered and they arrived on time and it was super quick. Pickup was also very smooth. I definitely recommend this place.

We purchased a power dual reclining sofa, and picked it up a week later. They were very helpful both times we were in the store, and the prices are incredible. If you have to move it yourself, I recommend renting one of their vans (if one's available). The sofa is terrific. It doesn't get used a ton, but it looks sharp, works great, and was a fraction of the cost we expected to pay. Their entire staff is really helpful and courteous, from the moment you walk in to the people renting you the van and the people loading it for you. They've earned the 5 star rating.

Literally cheap for cheap furniture. Horrible customer service. Fighting with me over a 100 ottoman that is damaged after 30 days and I noticed it…I will never be back and will never allow anyone I know to buy such poor quality. What a joke…and by the way- sales guy couldn’t point out but two items in the entire showroom that were real wood….its worse than IKEA manufactured particle board.

I purchased a couch and was quite pleased with the price and delivery, but the in-store sales process was disappointing. I entered the store knowing exactly what I wanted and browsed independently to find the item that suited my needs. Unfortunately, no salesperson approached me, and several seemed to avoid me when I attempted to engage them. Ultimately, I had to corner a salesperson to insist on service before he agreed to process my order. Once the order was placed, the subsequent steps were handled smoothly. It's worth mentioning that this occurred on a Wednesday morning when the store was not busy.

Truly disappointed with my experience today purchasing at American Furniture. I came to buy a cocktail table, which had a false advertisement of “ALWAYS THE LOWEST PRICE ANYWHERE”. The same exact table was available at Kassa Mall Furniture for a cheaper price. I tried to do a price match with the person at the front desk and after getting back with his manager I was told that I am not able to get the same price match, not sure why. Most furniture always do price matches, but I guess this store is too good at false advertisement.

We absolutely enjoyed our visit and spent hours searching for the right living room set. When we were ready our sales associate Alex was very informative with what we were purchasing. The delivery team was courteous and professional. We highly recommend AFW and cant wait for future purchases.

Visited the Katy location about two or three months ago & was assisted by JT. I went back this weekend & he remember my family & I. He’s the best of the best. Closed the deal quickly. I would recommended asking for him when visiting the Katy location. He will make sure you are taken care of!

I recently financed a couch using Klarna through American Furniture’s online store. The checkout process seemed smooth, and I was glad to see Klarna would allow me to pay in installments. The only stated requirements for pickup were to bring my ID and the credit card used for the order. Since I paid with a digital card issued by Klarna, I thought I was well-prepared (I had with me all the info of the card) Today, I went to pick up my couch. However, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. The staff member at the pickup desk, Isaih, showed a lack of professionalism and seemed uninterested in helping. When I presented my ID and explained I had used a digital card, he refused to release the couch, insisting that I needed a physical card—even though I showed him the card details in my Klarna app. I asked to speak with a manager, but Isaih’s response was dismissive, saying, “He will tell you the same thing I just did.” When the manager arrived, he confirmed that policy without any effort to understand my situation or offer a solution. The website makes no mention of needing a physical card, which left me feeling blindsided. To add to the frustration, I had rented a truck for the pickup, costing me $50, and had taken a day off from work, which feels completely wasted. This experience not only cost me time and money but left me feeling disappointed and dismissed. It’s disheartening to see such apathy and a lack of empathy from their pickup department staff, especially when I had followed all the guidelines provided.

Would have given them zero stars if I had the option. I usually don’t leave any reviews whatsoever but they really didn’t even deserve one star. Horrible customer service, had to wait over two months to receive my purchase. Was mislead multiple times. Then told that the salesman forgot a piece on our original order and tried to charge me $100 extra when the order finally came in. Then when I came to pick up it took over an hour for them to load up. We were really let down, especially on the customer service.

Price ranges for any budget. They got the expensive stuff and affordable as well. They load it in your car and don't pressure you to buy. What is not to like? They also don't tell you kiddos not to try the furniture. You can sit on all of it.
