I have had wonderful experiences every time I have been at American Furniture in Conroe. Monte is our sales representative. There is never any pressure, he is wonderful, we never feel rushed, he is knowledgeable in all areas and makes us feel special. Thank you so much Monte for making us always feel special.

Worst customer service ever. We received a couch and first week of use the couch had a terrible sound while we were sitting. We asked to be replaced or repaired. They took the couch and after a week, they returned the couch in the same condition. Never will buy anything again from them

We purchased a full living room recliner set from AFW in October of 2024. We submitted a claim for the single recliner as the seams were coming undone and there was a hole. This claim was denied due to normal wear and tear yet we have had the furniture less than 4 months. Why do they sell furniture with a one year warranty if it’s going to be denied. This was not my first piece bought at AFW and it was not my first denial submitting a warranty claim. I should have learned my lesson the first time. I will no longer purchase furniture from AFW. I rather pay more and have quality furniture and service.

Walked through the store not one person asked us if we needed help. Sales associates were sitting around and the most we got was a hello ……ended up leaving without using our line of credit. This is actually the second time this has happened to us. Seems like they don’t wanna sell furniture at all. Very disappointed.

Few days before new year, I bought furniture and mattress from AFW. I bought the Havasu King Mattress due to its firmness and comfortability at that time but after just few weeks of usage, it sagged badly. There's an obvious indentation in the middle that makes your body feel sore when waking up. I shouldn't have bought the mattress here but since I'd like to get all items set up on my new place all at once, I did and now I am suffering!!! Mind you, it's only me and my daughter who sleeps on the bed and I weigh a 145lb and she's a toddler. That bed is not the most luxurious bed but it isn't also cheap! Lesson learned, Don't buy mattress here!
I left a review on the item on their website to see if they can do something about it but the first review did not appear on their page although there was a confirmation page for the post. Made another review thru the link that they give made but guess what, that review was never posted on the item. This made me think that whatever reviews on their page are not 100% right since bad ratings are being filtered out. So beware!

Horrible experience. Went in to purchase a recliner and waited in the recliner section for over 20 minutes with no assistance. No one greeted me or anything. I would say horrible customer service but I don’t get to experience any service.

Overall, my experience was great, but the only downside was that the company didn’t assemble the bed, which I wasn’t expecting. There was a disclaimer at the time of purchase, but given the price and delivery fees, I still thought assembly would be included. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.

I ordered $2500 in furniture from these people and this is how their delivery truck left my front yard. It has been a nightmare trying to get them to restore it to what it was before. Personally wouldn’t recommend buying anything from them.

Highly recommend American Furniture! We purchased a new, much needed bed and mattress on Sunday, our salesman Rich was great when recommending options for my husbands bad back which we appreciated and today, Tuesday morning the delivery guys showed up 10 mins early, were in and out in 30 minutes or less and were all extremely professional! Excellent job, American Furniture, from the front desk to the delivery you guys get an A++❣️

Ordered 2 couches and one single recliner chair. Received single recliner and one couch and was told we would get second couch within a week. Now going on two weeks and no couch in sight. When we call and eventually get through to someone we get told It is on its way but don’t worry we will not be charged delivery fee. Are you kidding!!!! American warehouse best not charge delivery fee. Will not recommend this store and wish we had gone with lazy boy!!

Horrible experience with them, I received a Delivery today and the delivery guys broke my window moulding and I called Tanner my sales rep. And customer service and nobody give me assistance, how they can damage something without any responsibility! First time buying with them and the last one!

This place is fantastic. We lived in Conroe while this was being built and then moved shortly after it was completed. We were looking for a new couch and figured, why not drive out there and look, even though it was 2.5 hours away. We walked in and I was pleasantly surprised that we weren’t bombarded off the bat with a pushy sales rep. We walked the store, found the sectional we were after and then a sales rep, approached us. He was very helpful and left us plenty of time to decide on our own instead of just hovering over our shoulder the entire time. We ended up purchasing the sectional and Frank was super helpful with the entire process. Furniture was very competitive on pricing, and beat every price out there for this particular sectional. I plan on returning to purchase more furniture from Frank (sales rep). Highly recommend!

Purchased 2 leather couches and paid $200 for deliver and both were delivered broken. Told I had to wait 3 more days to get new ones. No refund of deliver charge and nothing to sit on for a week in our new home. What a huge disappointment. Called manager and they would not refund delivery charge, very rude and unhelpful!! I will not purchase anything else from here again!!!!

I love this store- I don't know if people realize this but they purchase inventory from big stores like Ashley and have the same manufacturers as other name brand furniture stores. High end furniture and tables at half the cost. HUGE selection, always someone available to help and a very clean store!

Purchased a sectional couch in late November. After 2 weeks, every time you move the couch squeaks and creaks. It is so annoying not to be able to move once you're sitting. And it's not a little noise, it's pretty loud. Very disappointed. Their website says 5-day return/exchange policy only. Otherwise I would have exchanged the one portion of the sectional out, but now I'm stuck with a couch that squeaks and creaks.

Bought a couch with recliners 6 months ago. Within two weeks one of the electrical power boxes had failed as well as the padding in the same section. Six months later, another section is showing far more wear than it should be with only light use and the covers of both switches/usb connections have fallen off. Absolute garbage and we won't be back.

Josh, Salesman was good Darlene in customer service was good. They changed my delivery date to 2 day window without flexibility requirng me to cancel the order because of being out of country. The woman that anwered the phone on the corporate merry go round started off with you can ask your question but whatever it is I will not help you. Ask your question. She then refused to help and booted us into the que again. She should be fired their customer service is like the IRS. Overall it is cheap furniture and bad service. Darlene helped us get refund started she was great. I refuse to do business with companies like this life is to short. Would be zero stars except for Josh and Darlene.

My furniture was delivered this morning, we bought the display one. We asked for it to be wrapped and it was not. The bed frame and side of the bed is all scratched. It does t take anything to wrap it in plastic coming from a big company. I expected more from them since we ve been returning customers and we were going to go back for other stuff. Very disappointing

Beware of buying leather funiture from AFW. I bought a dual recliner there. The color (dye) on the headrest is coming off. When I filed for warranty I received a denial message that pretty much list about any reason for this is a natural issue with leather and isn't covered by warranty.
I've had several sets of leather livingroom funiture over the last 25 years and never had an issue. Be aware that if you buy leather funiture at AFW the leather isn't warrantied if there's an issue.

Their slogan about matching wayfair and amazon isn't true whatsoever. I found the exact 899$ entertainment center with fireplace on Amazon for 399$!! Beware of their fake marketing. They may have decent prices but please check online for price match! Saved me 500$ by buying on Amazon! They said they just couldn't match amazon price.

This place sucks!!! delivery was scheduled for a 2pm - 4:30pm window and they didn't show up until after 9pm. there were two guys with stupid looks on their faces that proceeded to laugh at us when we questioned why they were so late. this place will never get our business again and we will see to it that our neighbors are well aware of their shameful practices!

The furniture is nice. I have my eye on a couch but it's all about the Cafe inside the store. They make the best chicken salad sandwich I have ever had. High quality fresh ingredients. I sandwich is big enough for 2 people. We go regularly just to have lunch.

Tim Plant and James Chambers as well as Franky were amazing salesmen. Most importantly, they were there to help us with genuine, high level service. They never played the role of high pressure salesman either. They answered question after question and even assisted us with a great choice in regards to an Italian leather piece. They knew the detail on their inventory. Kept their word on delivery date and time. Extremely organized and professional but very personable too. Gave us their cell phone numbers. They were able to assist us after hours without complaint. Great representatives of this company.

I bought a leather sofa set sectional 2 years ago. One piece broke within one month of the expiration of the warrenty, another a few months later. Cushions started to fall apart right after warrenty expired. The set looks nice but is built cheaper 3k down the drain

My sister and I came to this location to purchase barstools. After making the purchase, my sister decided to purchase a painting. She noticed that the painting tag price cost $59. They scanned it to see if there were any additional paintings in the back, being that this one was a floor model. Upon discovery they noticed the painting price was for a different painting. They took the painting to the back to adjust the $59 price to $21 more.
In the past I have purchased other items from AFW and was excited however after this shenanigans I have spoken with family and friends to stop buying from AFW because if this happens to her it could even happen to you.

We needed a new sofa, and we were shocked at the amazing prices. The best part was how laid back yet friendly the sales staff was. Not once, and I stopped by several times to browse, did I feel pressured. Delivery was quick, painless, and professional.

We came to this furniture store in hopes of furnishing our house. We were looking for some rugs, couches/recliners, mattress, and some bar stool chairs. AND we found it all within reasonable prices! We were working with Maria Hoang. The staff over all is great, at least Maria was! I don’t like it when people are over bearing and she wasn’t she let us do our thing and when we were ready or had questions she assisted us and made the whole process smooth! We love the quality of the furniture! Super elegant and good long lasting material. Definitely would recommend if you are in the Conroe/woodlands or surrounding area! Great services, great prices, and the delivery was smooth as well nothing came damaged and the delivery guys were great and professional!

My wife and I purchased over $11 thousand dollars worth of furniture from AFW. There was a tv stand on backorder and we agreed to wait. It shows up a couple weeks later and my wife and I both agree it looks a little different but we would make it work.
It shows up with a large noticeable gouge on the top which AFW agrees to fix.
Their repair person comes out and makes an attempt to repair which looks awful. We were told to wait until it dries and it would look better. It is dry now and still looks awful.
We call AFW and explain the situation and that we would like a replacement as we were unhappy with the repair done. The lady who answered the phone tells my wife they won't do anything for us because we owe $140 and change? We are told because they delivered us a different piece than we originally ordered that we mist pay the difference.
This is a bait and switch and awful business practices. I will not be paying anything extra especially when we still don't have what we originally picked out and paid for. We now have a different tv stand that is damaged.
I still need to purchase another 5K of furniture but it will be at a competitor of AFW

very impressed with the furniture as well as with the quality. The price for a 5 piece Bedroom was outstanding and better than I thought . I am definitely going back for more furniture in the near future !!!

It was my boyfriend and I first time here, and when you walk in, there are signs large enough for you to see where you needed to go. I was trying to look for a rocking chair/ glider. It's hard to find places close by to able to physically see and touch a rocking chair/glider and I found 3 that I liked so far. But what really got us was the prices! Such a reasonable amount, and they will even ship it to you. Another thing is you see employees there, but you're not constantly being bothered about " did you need help" or " Are you finding everything ok?" You know the simplest questions that get too be too much after a while. They actually let you shop and give you space and time to think about the merchandise. It's a very clean store as well. There are multiple people there constantly cleaning throughout the store, which is super nice, too. We will definitely come back and purchase a few things cause those prices you can not beat even, Amazon can't compare!

After buying furniture on a SATURDAY (09-21) AND BEING told they were going to have my Furniture transfer from The KATY store to Conroe and I could Pick up next Saturday (09-28)at the Conroe store. on arrival at the Conroe store, I come to fine out that they never transferred my Furniture to the Katy store to Conroe Store AFTER A WEEK!!!!!
NOW I HAVE TO DRIVE 1 HOUR TO KATY TO PICK UP MY OWN FURNITURE!!!!

Furniture was delivered on time . I purchased a dresser for my granddaughter which she really likes it matches her bed. For myself I purchased a coffee table and an end table and a bookshelf. Everything is great. Got everything delivered and the delivery guys were polite and helpful they asked me where I wanted things to be placed. Well I have a small space so it was easy. Looking forward to purchasing more things.

Picking up furniture was an awful experience... Waited over an hour only to find out they didn't pull our furniture because they wanted to see what we were hauling it with... Then waited another 50 mins in the bay while they pulled our furniture... What a waste of time!!! I have better things to do... There were 6 employees standing around... Not impressed... If I hadn't already paid for the $6000.00 of furniture I would have just left and gone elsewhere... Nobody there cared about my time...

I recently purchased a name brand glider-recliner from AFW in Conroe, TX, after having two extremely unsatisfactory experiences at the same name brand furniture store and a popular online furniture store. At AFW, I was treated with the utmost respect and professionalism by the salesman, James C, who showed me exactly what I was looking for and then without being pushy, let me wander around trying out different chairs for as long as I wanted! I found several chairs that met my expectations, at prices a lot less than the exact chairs in the other stores! AFW will be my new "Go To" store! The beautiful, nicely laid out store, is well stocked with many fine furnishings! However, I will shop there again just for the outstanding sales experience, not to mention the outstanding delivery service. Oh, and last but not least, the chair is absolutely PERFECT and will give me and my miniature dachshund, Penny, hours of comfort and joy together!
