I purchased a recliner and they gave us a recliner that had a ticket for shop repair and no power cord. I called and asked if they can come pick it up since it wasn't my fault they gave us wrong item and they said absolutely not, that I was supposed to check the item when I picked it up even if it was wrapped.
Always check items when picking up

My husband and I just recently moved to Tucson and needed to replace some of our furniture. This store got recommended to us, so we came out here. The staff here were extremely friendly and helpful. They were patient as we looked around, answered all our questions, and didn't rush us. And when we initially bought pieces that didn't fit in our apartment like we thought they would, AFW was great about helping us to exchange the pieces (which had already been delivered), and allowing us to select ones that worked better. The AFW delivery men were equally friendly and helpful, as were all the show room staff, and the customer service representatives I talked to on the phone. Special shout out to Gabriel, who was the one who helped us shop. This place also has furniture at every price point, from the inexpensive to the expensive, so there should be something here for everyone. Are their fancier stores in Tucson? Certainly. But I don't need that. I definitely recommend AFW.

First time shopping here and saw that Ashley had a promo of $500 off the couch set we wanted to buy but American was absolutely adamant that they would not honor the same price and instead the manager actually told us to go elsewhere!
My advice is shop around before ever coming here, because this store was willing to lose a $5k sale and a customer!

Second purchase from here. I JUST picked it up. Drove 5 minutes up the road, had help unloading it just to find that the top two drawers are completely broken. lol! Fully assembled dresser makes no sense. Didn’t think anything of being able to hear the dresser as it was being loaded. Thought it was just slight movement from the drawers ( you know since it’s FULLY assembled) I was WRONG. I’m so so so so disappointed. I waited for a month to decide on this dresser to be met with this……..

It was a great experience purchasing our living and family room furniture. There was no pressure like the some of furniture stores in town. Pricing was extremely reasonable and huge selections. Phuong (Fong) Nguyen was our sales rep who assist us. She had a great personality and was extremely helpful in explaining every detail about the product. She was very patient with us since we had many questions. Normally, I rarely make a decision to make a large purchase on the spot, however with Phuong assistance and the pricing, we purchase the furniture on the spot.
In addition, our house is being painted and they agree to delay the delivery until the paint job is completed. This also played a big part on the purchase.

I spent a few hours in store picking out area rugs and a recliner. The store loaded my rugs and tied them down for transport. I drove an hour to the store and an hour home, when I got home and looked at the rug it had melted burn marks and had obviously been previously returned and repackaged, I could not see the damage after the store re-wrapped the item in a milky shrink wrap, now I will request they bring me a new one and take their damaged rug away, if not I will return everything I purchased, this should not be my problem to waste another 2 plus hours transporting damaged goods resold to a customer.

If I could give negative stars I would definitely do that. I have been shopping at AFW for years and never had any trouble. Until now. The quality of furniture has declined and they don't stand behind their product. I have defective furniture, still under warranty, I have been told I can get 1/3 of the cost the the defective furniture and that is their final offer and will not budge. I did not want money back, only the furniture to be repaired so that I can use it. When I asked to escalate the issue I was told to take the offer or leave it. After which I was hung up on TWICE. I was not being belligerent I was trying to understand why it was not covered. I have never had such poor service from any company ever in my life. I will NEVER shop at another AFW again.

Bought a TON of furniture from this place. Couches came dirty. One came ripped. Waiting for bed frame and mattress to come in. Went to pick up a new couch and they had all of our mattresses and bed frame there. Claimed they were waiting for us to contact them. Lmao… how about once our stuff comes in call us to schedule it and put it together like we paid for??? You’d think you’d be taken care after spending $8,000. Not to mention when we decided to pick up bed frame there was no help. Bunch of people standing around watching my husband lift all of the boxes. Wish I could give 0 stars. What an absolute head ache.

Great prices good sales people! Better than other furniture stores as far as price, selection and no pushy sales people. We had Phoung (Fong) help us find a area rug, 2 end tables 1 coffee table and 2 laps. She was very patient with us, even if we didn't initially like what we were looking through. She knew the store very well and she was able to suggest specific things go with the rest of our furniture. She was very kind, not pushy and able to answer all my our questions including asking her manager to sell us a & display table.
If you go here ask for Phoung (Fong). Good selection of leather, patio furniture, rugs, lamps etc.

Awful service DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! I REPEAT DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. My husband and I bought a dining table from this warehouse and it hasn’t been even 2 months and the table is chipping (yes the paint is CHIPPING!) we called 3 times. First time no one answered, after many attempts of getting ahold of customer service nothing… 2nd time a couple days later my husband was FINALLY able to talk to a clerk, they told him to send over pictures and info regarding the purchase to which he did. We waited for a call from them since they told us that they would call us and NO CALL. Today my husband called and kid you not they said we can’t don’t nothing about it when they clearly told us when we purchased it that we had a year to notify if anything went wrong with the furniture. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE VERY UPSET and can’t believe how badly unorganized and unattended the customer service is, actually the whole warehouse honestly. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME BUYING HERE! Went to the new Marana store and had high hopes. Unfortunately been thoroughly disappointed through every step of this process. The first half of the order had a delivery issue 100% on there end. The second half of the order was suppose to arrive by mid September but is now essentially a rolling maybe in two weeks mode. The store manager “Baylee” was little help and honestly came off more condescending with no sense of taking accountability. I really wanted to support this place and fill a house full of their stuff but unfortunately the customer service piece is so bad that I can’t see giving any more business. I would welcome a call from corporate to discuss in full detail. Everyone else I wish good luck!

Dont waste your money. Terrible customer service no one ever has an answer to questions. The furniture is NOT OF GOOD QUALITY, they attempted to re-deliver the same defective sectional piece twice, days apart. One dresser was non functional so sent back, replacement was not available so we were refunded. Entertainment Center went from a 2 week back order to 2 months no one called to inform us so it was canceled. Two months later I'm still waiting on a refund. I'm told it will be another two months and I'm stuck paying for items that I don't have. We also have had issues with finances and being charged wrong state taxes. I have driven to there location 3 times to get help and am always referred to customer service. A manager also never seems to be available. "We're all new here or have no training before hitting the sales floor. " is a popular excuse amongst the employees here and you will never encounter the same employee more than once as they seem to have a high turn over rate with employees at this store.

I placed an order online for 6 dining room chairs, and 3 barstools on June 30. None of these showed backordered at the time of my order. I finally got the chairs delivered on July 31. Only 6 of the 9 chairs showed up. I called customer service and they said the 3 remaining chairs were being sent from their Colorado warehouse. It is now August 16 and I'm still waiting for my 3 chairs. I will not go back to this place AGAIN! Customer service sucks, you can't get a straight answer from anyone.

On Aug 15 I received a replacement couch that was damaged (tear)....upon receiving replacement, both delivery drivers and myself made sure no tesrs....once drivers left I noticed a sizable indentation on arm that is quite visible and appears poorly made... and hope to have this one replaced as well...

Worst store to shop if I could give negative 1 I would have give it to American furniture. I spent over 4000$ on furnitures. They told me it takes 6 weeks to get your furnitures, 6 weeks past by never heard anything from the store I had to call the store, asking them what happened to my furnitures. The customer service lady told me, your furniture is here when you want it delivered. I ask the customer service lady, you guys suppose to call me when you receive it. She apologized basically it is not a big problem. When I received my bed it was damaged. Had to call the customer service that they damaged my bed. Had to take picture and send them the picture of the damage item, heard back two days after that they can give me 25$ refund and send someone to fix it. Beside going throw a hustle I decided to keep the bed. Second thing I ordered a mattress, same thing suppose to get in 6 weeks still haven’t heard anything from the sales person, called the customer service manager. She tells me it takes three months for your mattress to get here. I asked her how come no one called me to tell me that, but supposedly she doesn’t know because it is the sales person job.
There is no accountability, no customer service. They make you ran around in circles. The solution was to get refund or go find another mattress. They don’t care about the customers time.
If I had to do it again I would never ever shopped at American furniture store. It is better to spent couple 100 more to get it from Ashley furniture than AFW

Terrible customer service after purchase! We received a text asking to confirm delivery. We confirmed delivery, adjusted our schedule to be home and the delivery never happened. Spoke with customer service and was told the delivery was cancelled but nobody notified us of the cancellation. Waisted an entire day and when we called American Furniture Warehouse was on hold for 2 hours and received no help. I still don’t know what is going on with the furniture I purchased.

This is the third time I have ordered from this company, I have to say I love their prices and quality of furniture. The sales reps are way better than Sam Levitz employees. Afw employees don’t hound you or stalk you as soon as you walk in the door. The best part of American Warehouse Furniture is that they actually have furniture to sell. You have the choice of picking up your furniture or having it delivered for a small fee. This location has a great selection of every room furniture selection. Prices are way better than other furniture stores in Tucson. Delivery drivers are awesome as well, they ask to see where the furniture is going before they start bring the order in. Driver and helper were considerate and careful. Everyone we have encountered have been delightful to work with.

We purchased a loveseat from AFW. The bill, which included the loveseat, taxes and a delivery fee. This amount was paid in full. No balance was owed as shown on the receipt. We had delivery set up for the following Saturday. Saturday came, and no loveseat was delivered. We tried to call the customer service number but it wasn't working so we called the store. We explained the problem and was told we owed an additional $49. And if we didn't pay it , our paid for furniture would not be delivered.
We ended up paying the additional $49 , for what, we don't know.
Having purchased from other AFW stores, I am surprised that the Tucson store would resort to such questionable business practices.
I have turned the matter over to the Arizona Atty. General's office, consumer complaint division and am waiting for a resolution.

Amazing prices, incredible selection, all levels of quality to fit the consumer's needs and pocketbook. My customer service attendant, Tyler Schultz, was completely familiar with the futon I had selected and even surprised me by demonstrating how it also manipulated into a lounge position. And I thought it only opened into a bed! The facility itself was so massive inside that I will call it The Temple of Furniture when I share my favorite new find with friends.

Regarding the new Marana store... Drove all the way there from Vail, which is fine. I went only for one item, but ended up purchasing several. Had a great 5 star experience with the salesman, Scott. He was nice, funny, helpful, knowledgeable, and there was no pressure, no rushing. And I wish I could say it ended as pleasantly as it began. If my rating were based solely on Scott, it would be a 5. If it were based solely on our leaving the store, it would be a 1 because zero stars aren't allowed. Per his suggestion, we got a flat to carry out our newly purchased art pieces because those don't go with the delivery order. As we're making our way to the exit, the older door greeter lady (I*think* he said her name was Sharon...??) came running over, shouting at me. Very rude and accusatory asking for a receipt. Which is fine, I obviously had it. But it didn't stop there. She then proceeded to accuse me of trying to steal all the art on the flat. Yes, using the word steal. Multiple times, including during and after showing her my receipt. My mood immediately soured during my interaction with her. I just spent over $1000 and if Scott hadn't been 5 stars, I would have immediately turned around and returned everything I just bought. I had my kids wait outside while I went back in to tell the CS people I didn't appreciate her accusations and she should be trained to simply ask for a receipt.
Hopefully the delivery goes better than the exit. Guess I'll update my review then, if needed. Hope AFW reads these.

From the minute we walked into American Furniture Warehouse the experience was so incredibly different from other furniture stores in town. Nobody followed me around like a car salesman, pressured me to buy or tried to add on a bunch of extra cost via added warranties etc. literally they just welcomed me in and said if you see something you want just get anybody in a red shirt to help you. We walked around and bumped into Fred he was a salesman but felt more like a friend. He showed us a few pointers to help our shopping experience and then walked away. We were not even really planning to buy but my wife found exactly what she wanted and the prices were so low probably the lowest in town. We decided to buy the 2 pieces a few hours later. Here is what was so great!!! I just texted Fred (the great salesman) he sent me a bill. I paid it and picked up the pieces a few days later. I did not even have to go back. We had went home, measured to see if it would all fit, thought about it for a few hours and made a nonpressured decision that we felt great about. We did not even have to drive back. I texted Fred for a few pictures and he sent them and texted him again the day of pick up and he texted me everything I needed to know. I have always hated furniture shopping in Tucson but now I look forward to going to American Warehouse Furniture if nothing else to see my new friend Fred! Oh yeah, when I picked up my furniture it took like 15 minutes and their guys loaded it and tied it down. (Picking up furniture at the other place in town was always a hassle and often took hours, plus they always seemed mad you were there) Thanks Fred and Thanks American Furniture Warehouse for have a much better model for sales and your customers. It seems they have brought back great customer care Plus your furniture comes with a year warranty at no additional cost. Way to go!!!

If I could give them zero star, I would.
Worse experience ever! I bought a little over $3,000 worth of furniture. I had many horrible experiences:
1. I missed the first delivery by 10 minutes even though the store policy stated that the delivery should wait up to 15 minutes.
2. When I finally got through to speak with customer service to re-schedule and pay for a new delivery ($144), the lady decided to cancel my entire order despite the scheduling system having issue.
3. I called again and spoke with another patient agent and finally got to schedule the needed delivery. But because my order was previously cancelled, I received the refund on the delivery.
4. Four days later, I realized the store refunded my initial amount but withheld $288, which is twice the delivery charge. They lied to me stating that delivery team came twice on the original delivery date. This was a clear lie because I only missed the original delivery by 5 minutes and stayed home all day.
5. I drove 45 minutes to go the store. The customer service manager accused me of having the furniture despite getting the refund.
6. The manager hesitantly told me she will refund the additional $144 charge on the first delivery. She didn't process the refund correctly and so I never received the fund after five days.
7. Five days later, I called corporate, I was told to wait another five days for the refund. I waited until yesterday. when I called the store, the agent I spoke with told me the latter person I spoke with earlier gave me a store credit without my consent.
8. The last customer service I talked to said I should get my refund this coming Wednesday. At this point, I don't believe anything I hear from this company.
9. If I don't get my money ($144) back, I think my last resort to get the law involved.

I bought a couple of deco pillows last weekend to try them on my couch. No one told me that I could not return deco pillows when I bought them and that all sales were final on them. I brought them back today to do my return and it took over a half an hour to refund me $31. There was no one in the store, I was sent to 2 different desks, had to call customer service for approval on the stores phone and ended back at the place I started to do the refund. I had my receipt but I had to give them all of my personal information. It was the craziest process I have ever seen. Needless to say, I will not buy anything from AFW again as it’s a hassle to work with them after the sale. No one apologized that I was not told the policy when I bought them, just repeatedly what the correct policy is and why I can’t return them. I bought and loved my leather sofa and loveseat at AFW in 2015, but sadly the service is not the same now.

We went to purchase a new adjustable bed and had phenomenal service from Dennis. He took his time, explained everything and let us try every mattress we wanted to. Quality of furniture for price blows away my experience with Ashley and Sam Levitz. Easy to checkout, and no hassles over buying protection plans… because they don’t try to sell you one. Delivery was great! Only negative was that I inquired about a 90-day same as cash and ended up paying extra because they lease furniture. Now, I have to pay extra to pay early AND by the way, you do not want to pay the whole lease term because that is stupid ridiculous. Feel I was misled about 90-days same as cash by floor rep.

I having nothing good to say about American Furniture Warehouse. The staff was in capable to order the right configuration the first time even after explaining it to the sales associate multiple times. On top of all this confusion the costumer service was lacking in knowledge and communication. There was a disconnect from the physical store and customer service on knowing what products they had. American Furniture Warehouse never gets it right the first time but maybe the third time.

I love shopping at AFW because there is no pushy sells men, but the quality of the furniture is not good. I bought a recliner and already had to change it out because it made a popping noise when it rocked back and fourth. Now I have the new one and not even two weeks later I can hear the wood cracking when you rock back and fourth.
I also purchased a bed and a frame for my daughter. On one of the railings the wood was not compacted right, and it look like the wood was faulty. Before installing the screws the wood was already cracked.
I really wish this was not the case because I still need to buy a living room set and some more furniture but I will not be buying no more furniture from AFW feels like Im just throwing my money down the drain.

Highly recommend Phuong (Fong)!! She has amazing customer service skills and tons of patience. We’re remodeling our home and we were in the store for hours. She is so helpful and goes above and beyond! Ask for her when you arrive! We will be back because of her and will be recommending her to all our family and friends!

Very nice shopping experience for a sectional sofa. Our salesperson, Joshua, did not rush, or push us to buy. He was knowledgeable and courteous. The express checkout crew was also friendly and helpful. We picked up our sofa, the warehouse crew tied down our items for us properly. Love the sofa and yes it is very sturdy. Overall, I would refer others to the Marana store.

I purchased three rooms of furniture from American furniture. The quality of the furniture is terrible. I have my dining room table replace twice. They forgot to schedule me for a pickup and for a delivery. The Assembly of the furniture was poor quality. There were screws coming out of the wood, and scratches on the chairs. The table was peeling, which I thought it was a real butcher block table. Now it's taking them 2 weeks to refund my money back to me. Poor customer service, managers don't know what they're doing. And they're rude at the front desk. They use the excuse that the store just opened, and everybody's still learning. I think they should know what they're doing when they open up the store. I will never purchase another item from American furniture after seeing the quality of the furniture. Beware people!!!!!

Bought furniture a week ago ,waiting g for arrival to find out not all items were brought.Was told tomorrow ,not acceptable.
Then items brought by 3,now by 6? Not a good way to keep repeat customers.
Recent call to see about replacement item ,
Was told they don't put everything together ,not what is stated at store,
They also don't care if you shop elsewhere

Whats not to love about this place? They have everything you need to furnish a home.. From bedroom suites, to sectionals, to artificial house plants. They have something for everyone! If its in stock, you can get it delivered in 2 or 3 days, or even pick it up yourself... Ive never seen anything like this.

I have dealt with AW and Gilbert for years. The store equals that, no pushy salesman, excellent choice. I had six lift chairs to choose from. The one I got is excellent. And Tucson was exceptional. Great gentleman, courteous, and hard-working.

Great prices and no pushy sales people! I really like this store, we keep coming back. they have artwork, tabletop decor, couches, recliners, office furniture, mattresses and so much more! We had purchased Wayfair furniture for twice the price and found a similar table for 1/2 the price. They have fast shipping and delivery when it comes to assembly comes in boxes and they put it together right at your home. It's about $200 for delivery depending on the furniture pieces, but we spent close to $500 on shipping with Wayfair. Honest pricing! They have financing options as well. Can't wait to order more furniture!

We purchased pieces from the Glendale store in 2015, various items over the years, and most recently at the new Marana location. Every item has been well made and held up over time. Prices are reasonable. Service is always friendly. Delivery fees have increased, as expected, but are worth the cost. Delivery is as scheduled, courteous, and clean. I appreciate not having to move or assemble anything.
