I don't know where to start.... my husband wrote a review a few weeks ago regarding our executive office set purchase and the extended delay for delivery. AFW team ended up reaching out apologizing for the delay and offered a few "resolutions" . We accepted one of their offers but then we were told the order was backordered again to an even later date; end of April now. I called their corp number last week and spoke to a customer service rep and she advised me that it was not backordered until MID MAY! This clearly agitated me even further because when we made the purchase at the beginning of March we were told no more than 3 weeks. Once the customer service rep advised me it was now pushed back to mid May I asked to be transferred to the store manager of the store I purchased from; Gilbert, AZ. I was not transferred to the store but to another customer service rep. I reiterated everything to this rep and he then informed me that no my items wont be delivered in May but MID JUNE now! AFW can't seem to keep their time line straight. I asked to speak to Gilbert store manager immediately and he told me he will leave a message for the store manager to give me a call back. Here I am 6 days later and I am still waiting for that call. Needless to say this will be the last time I will be purchasing anything from AFW and I will not recommend them to anyone. When we were in store making the purchase I asked MULTIPLE times to see to the store manager due to the timeline because it's an executive office set and it was needed for WFH position and the sales rep refused to bring one to the floor? Do they even have one?

I just moved into my new place and I knew that AFW was the place to go for all the things I wanted.. Emilio greeted me right away, and he walked me through the store to match my requests and needs, which took about an hour, and he was so dedicated, and I found everything I wanted perfectly and he was so accommodating, I felt like I was at Louis Vuitton minus the champagne.
I will absolutely shop here every time, and I will always ask for Emilio. He is a star. ⭐️

I didn’t get her name but the customer service representative that answered my call yesterday was very rude and was getting very upset because I was trying to explain to her that I didn’t get my full refund amount on my mattress . She said they applied what I paid in cash to my debit card but when I called the first time they said that that can’t put cash back on my debit card? So I want to know where my $114 is . I bought $8475 worth of furniture from this location but got treated horrible by the customer service department.

If I could give a negative star I would. This is purely about their customer service and or lack there of.
On March 8th my wife and I tried to purchase office furniture. Desk, file Cabinet and Two nice lighted book shelves. We needed our office done fairly soon due to at home working conditions, when we talked to the salesman he said it was out of stock. He then proceeded to tell us he didn’t want to over promise and under deliver, it would be 2-3weeks. We had the executive desk and file cabinet delivered but are now being told it will be an additional 3 weeks to get our lighted book shelves. This left us with a very poor demeanor as we had not been offered free delivery and or any compensation refund due to their lack of ability to get the products here in a timely manor. We love the look of our furniture however we just wish it was complete and delivered within the agreed time. American Furniture Warehouse definitely does not care about their customers, only that they made a sale and nothing will be done to accommodate anyone. We will not be looking to get anything else from them in the future absolutely poor customer service. . . When we call to ask for a manager people just put you on hold then it hangs up after a while. So please keep in mind that they do not care and will not make sure that you are satisfied with your purchase and deliver later, Much later than expected.
Update- After a long arduous wait. . . They offered my wife a $100 credit and said end of April. After calling this week they have now said we will not receive our bookshelf’s until mid to late June. After what we initially spent on this office furniture and the constant delays in product delivery, it has been the worst experience from this company. My wife and I truly believe they should at the very least send us the floor model that is available now, instead of waiting for something I feel is not going to arrive at this point. DO NOT USE them if you need furniture for your home. At this point I would have rather spent more money somewhere else and know that I had the furniture within the time stated by the sales people. This is an absolute joke. Send us the ones you have on the floor so we can be done with this already. Complete waste of my Time and Money and we continue to get the run around.

I purchased a living room set end tables couch love seat recliner and coffee table first recliner won’t be here till mid April ok second I pick up all my furniture get it home set it up everything is fine until the coffee table one of the leg doesn’t have the inserts for the bolt to thred into. So I call them the First Lady was super helpful I had to send them pictures done well after that it turns into a nightmare. They never emailed or called regarding the claim photos then finally I call get hold of someone the say they will deliver me a new coffee table and take back the old one but I would be put in a que and they will notify works great if you don’t work. So they give me a time a lot of 1230 to 3 I leave work they show up pick up the old coffee table go to leave and I said hey your supposed to be dropping one off they said no all they had was a pick up so they said you will have to reschedule for delivery. So I sit on the phone with them for about 45 min trying to get something done. Can’t just not work to wait on furniture the lady said she can’t guarantee me a time slot so now I am going to go back down and pick up something again that was broke from them from the start but I will
Say this these people do not care about customers their customer service is a joke and horrible. Dont recommend buying anything from them and will not ever go buy something from them again.

We went there to look for a new bedroom set. We were assisted by salesperson Shawn, who was very knowledgeable, experienced & helpful. He worked with us to determine the best day for delivery. We were called the night before with a delivery window of 7am-9am. The next day the truck was here promptly at 7am. We are so pleased with the quality of our new bedroom, the wonderful customer service from Shawn, and the prompt, timely delivery!

Phone number supplied (480-500-4121) does not accept any of my responses (Press "1", Press "2", Press "4") keeps on repeating without transferring you to next menu/person. I found this to be true with the Gilbert, AZ, and Thornton, CO locations. I attempted NUMEROUS times, on 2 different phones - same problem. The time and effort I put into this was totally frustrating and time consuming. If the phone number is defunct, customers need to be aware. I tried texting, private messaging and through Facebook. Finally, on day 3 I get a response with a different phone number to call. Totally unacceptable!

Sales person Joe Harper mislead us and used dishonest tactics to make a mattress and box spring sale. Watch out for those "in their favor" exorbitant delivery and return fees too, you will not get them back. Be forewarned, customer service is very well versed in protecting the sales team and the company, not the consumer.

I love this store, and the employees…. but I hate coming pregnant because I am always the only one who uses the expectant mothers parking and is actually pregnant. Sometimes I can’t even find a spot because people who aren’t pregnant are using all of the spots during busy hours and I have to walk a long distance in the heat. I have high blood pressure while pregnant and walking this kind of distance when it’s hot makes it worse. I just wish they would actually monitor who is parking there. Other than that I love visiting the store when I’m not pregnant.

I had a great time going through the store and ordering my bed here. I was told it wasn't going to be ready until the end of July to then have it be ready super early yet when I received it was scratched up on all four sides of the frame and the drawers on the bottom of the frame do not close properly. Also be aware if you tell them it's scratched up 10 min after they built it, the store will say it's breaking in. Here's some pics to see. I wouldn't spend 900 bucks here for this again.

I had a wonderful experience. I wasn’t 100% sure I was even going to buy the day that I was there. But a gentleman by the name of Michael Hunter walked by and asked if I was having a good day and I said yes we started to speak and then I started to talk to him about the living room furniture that I needed Before I left. I think I spent about $3100 and that’s all great. There was no pressure and I got everything I wanted and it is going to be beautiful when it comes to my house. I want to thank Michael Hunter personally for taking the time in such a busy day. I will be back and ask for Michael Hunter because we are going to be getting two new bedroom outfits. I don't even know where to begin with this company. I know we will never ever do business with them again and we will be reporting them to the BBB. My husband goes in to find a recliner and picks one. We have it delivered on a Monday and all is fine till it suddenly stops working Friday. Mind you my husband has barely used this. He works all day and so is home maybe 3 hours each evening and it is not all spent sitting. So we call to ask. The customer service guy was already rude, but we stayed patient. We figured we would just get a replacement, but no. They said they will pick it up and then return us the money. As we are setting that up, the customer service explains what we are getting back. They seriously said that they are keeping 80 because of delivery charges. Excuse us? They broke the agreement for services rendered and then would not give us our full return. We waited a week for the refund that we were told was going back to our card. So we call to find out the status. They actually put the refund on our "account" at the company so we could get another item! Again, we were shocked because we were told and made it clear we wanted a refund. So now we get to wait another 3-5 days to get the money back. We spent 600 and they kept 80. This company is a joke!! Do not waste your time or money with them. There product breaks, you will be the one paying for it. You need a refund, you'll also be waiting on that! Just stir clear of this place and go elsewhere.

Buy a lot of furniture here over the years, without a problem. But yesterday we had 2 pieces of furniture delivered and the delivery guys nicked our wood table bringing it in and installing the legs they left several the bolts loose and didn't even put the bolts in the lower brace it was just laying on the floor like it was bolted. Also the entertainment center was missing paint in some of the cubicles and the shelves were covered with sawdust. Going out to buy bolts and touch up paint now.

We found exactly what we were looking for at what we thought was a great price. Our sales representative Johnny Marovich was personable and helpful. The only reason I didn't give a five star rating is because the delivery team seamed a bit careless and busted one of our landscaping lights. They did report it however and three weeks later we're all good. The repair team both at corporate in Denver and from the store in Gilbert who came to the house was thorough and professional. Apparently people of color aren’t welcomed here. My husband & I were looking for a fireplace tv stand. We were greeted by a very friendly lady named April. She told us to look for anyone wearing a red vest with a name tag. We started walking on the right side middle area, no one offered to help. Everyone we asked they said they were busy helping a customer. But there were a couple of “red best/id badge“ just talking to each other. On our way to the other side, a red vest/id badge asked can I help you? I told him after being there 15-20 minutes, he was the first person to offer help. He told us that he was helping another person, but would be glad to answer a question. After asking where to look? He directed us to the other side. He said just look around & ask someone for help. While looking, a red vest/id badge came & asked, can I help you? I explained what we were looking for. He took us to his computer station, looked up the item. Advised it’s only online. Before I could say thank you for your help, he had closed his computer and walked away! No worries, you have lost me as a customer .

Manager Carrie has lost us as any future customers. We’ve always come here because items are available same day and the sales people are friendly to work with. Our home is torn apart with a remodel to move home office. Came here to pick out a filing cabinet and shelf. 6 of the cabinets are not in stock, not coming in until April and May. We ask to speak with manager Carrie to see if there is ANYTHING she could do as we have guests coming and would like to purchase the floor model as well as matching bookshelf. With complete lack of emotion she refused to budge on selling any floor models. One item would be in stock in 3 weeks and she wouldn’t even budge on backfilling the floor model when shipment arrived so we could be taken care of. She tried telling us to look at others that had stock but we came in specifically with an idea of furniture and nothing is stocked. Then icing on the cake. 2 identical bookcases on the floor and we could not purchase the second floor model!!!!, Carrie said 4 other customers who had ordered the same shelf and were ready to wait a month or so for arrival had to be called at home to be offered the floor model first before we could purchase! We are here with cash, ready to buy and Carrie couldn’t even show empathy or any flexibility. After all the trips we’ve come here to furnish different parts of our home, this will be the last time. I’m a previous store manager of a big box warehouse store and know first hand this is not how you speak to, react to, or take care of your customers. Our salesperson kept apologizing as even she could see the negative impact the manager Carries attitude was coming across. Sad when we are remodeling our entire backyard and front den and had planned on continuing to do our business here. That will not be happening. Carries lack of understanding on how to speak to or work with customers along with nothing is readily stocked and months out is just poor management and customer service all around for American Furniture Warehouse. It’s pretty bad taste in my mouth when I’m putting in more effort to buy your furniture then you are trying to sell it.
We ended up settling for a black book shelf that was not what we planned on even getting because stupid me thought a gift card to my spouse would be nice. The shelf was slightly discounted because the glass doors were missing. We just arrived home and cannot get the bookcase into our new office space. This is going to be even more of a mess to try to load up and return tomorrow. If only we had been engaged with by a more professional experienced manager from the get go, willing to work with the customers they have in store. Should not have felt like we had to settle for something we did not want

Always fun going into American Furniture Warehouse - furnishings and in store help were great, only minus was delivery and setup. Salesman DanDan in the store was super great. Got us into the right patio set for us and set up the delivery and set up in no time. Bought it on a Saturday, got it Mon (Jan 27 - could have been next day but we prefer Sundays off). The communication and timing on delivery was good and helpful, unfortunately the delivery and setup guys just dropped it off and left (we paid extra for setup). They didn't even take the plastic off the furniture! I even had to cut zip ties on the fire table to get it going. The good news is we called the store and they were glad to send another team out and set everything up correctly, so overall a positive experience and would be happy to go back.

If you get a good sales person the experience is fast although pick up at the side warehouse can be utter chaos. You can’t beat the pricing. Our fabric headboards and side chairs and a counter height table with chairs and benches plus other items like fireplace electronics console and curio cabinets are all decent quality. Our life may be chaotic but we’ve been able to count on the furniture to mix well with our high end pieces.

I was in store, picked out a tv console, and paid for it and delivery. 7:00pm the night before scheduled delivery day I still hadn’t heard about my window. I called and they said it was now on back order and was two months out. Mind you, in store I was asked if I wanted to take it home that day or get it delivered. So I paid for a piece of furniture and they sold the last one in stock after I left. Now I have to wait a week for a refund because of THIS PLACE.

i wish they have less than one star. all our furniture for the past 7 years are from them
from today's experience a Customer service on the phone not professional at all
i kept asking for their name to talk to the general manager and complain they just put me on hold or hang up on me .

I have bought living room furniture, a bedroom set, a desk , and s country style kitchen set. The leather recliner and the dual recliner leather couch is tge favorite of me and my greatgrandkids. They love to recline and cuddle.
Have received praise on the bedroom and kitchen set.

My boyfriend and I had visited back in November looking for the couch we wanted for our home that wouldn’t be done being built until February. We had the immense please of meeting Hans on their sales floor. He was kind, honest and beyond helpful. He let us know that AFW policy would only hold the couch for a month after purchase so we had to wait to order it. Now the time came and we went back hoping to find Hans and there he was. Months later, he remembered us, remembered the couch we wanted and graciously helped us. If you go there, definitely find Hans, he’ll be the one to get you everything you want and need with the best service!!

I’ve purchased many items here, but the service and quality have significantly declined. It now takes days to address issues, they charge for repairs that shouldn’t be needed, and my furniture arrived damaged and incomplete, forcing me to fix things myself despite picking it up myself. After this experience, I’m done with AFW and will shop elsewhere, as their positive reviews seem questionable compared to the negative feedback on other platforms.

Would do negative stars if they had them. Spent thousands on furniture. Delivery to two different address's. AF screwed the order up. No big deal, tried to call to work it out, all day today from 9am until few mins ago. The prompts go in circles, so called the store, asked for a manager, none available, said call phone bank said I did all day, said keep trying. Tried the sales person they said can’t help only sales. Was forced to call my cc company to reverse charges as no one at AF would assist or answer a phone. Will never step foot in this store again. All nice at POS, then they get your money and treat you like you don’t exist. Heading to Lazyboy, happily pay double and our family will never consider AF for any reason in the future. Complete joke-

I purchased a power zero gravity recliner. Love the chair, however the cup holders in the arm rests are the most poorly designed I’ve ever seen.
They have a fairly wide diameter at the top, which can accommodate almost any size glass, but about 1/2 inch from the bottom there’s a smaller diameter ridge which makes placing a glass of any size other than the top size subject to tipping.
I managed to spill two glasses of wine before I figured out how poorly the holders are designed.
I solved the stupid problem by cutting two coasters to fit the diameter and cover the bottom part of the cup holder.
Ashley Furniture should hire designers who have more than a single digit IQ.
